George Kabwe

Assistant Director, Finance, International Monetary Fund

George Kabwe is an Assistant Director in the IMF Finance Department. He heads the Safeguards Assessment Division. He has worked in various roles on financial reporting issues, policy work on the IMF’s finances, and due diligence in the lending operations. Prior to the IMF, he worked in the private sector at KPMG in the United Kingdom and the United States. Mr. Kabwe has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the University of Birmingham (UK) and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
